Max's Birthday Trip

So if you follow me on Facebook, you already know that my baby boy just turned ONE!!! It chokes me up to even say it...or type it. I just can't believe a whole year has passed. If parenting means that every year goes this quickly, then I don't like it! :)

Since Jeff is a teacher and is lucky enough to have a February break, we wanted to take full advantage of our time together. We decided it was time to take Max to one of our favorite places - the Maratime Center! So we made a day of it and called it his first annual Birthday Trip. I honestly have never seen my husband so excited, and it made me love him a million times more. We walked around and looked at all of the seals, fish, meerkats, sharks, turtles...we even stopped by the touch tank! I have been visiting this place since I was little and it just blows my mind that now I'm bringing my own son there. We brought Max's stroller, but 90% of the time it was Jeff carrying Max from animal to animal and me pushing the stroller with the giant diaper bag on it, trying to take pictures and keep up with them! We had a blast and I loved seeing Max in awe at the strange creatures he encountered. Enjoy some of our photos!
