Making a Splash

So I was browsing some YouTube photography videos this morning while having my delicous luke warm cup of Starbucks coffee (does it take any other mommas out there about an hour to actually drink a cup? Just me?)and it went something like this: a How To on star photography, then over to Scott Kelby's page where I found fun stuff like long exposures during the middle of the day along with making a DIY snoot and grids for your off camera flash. Then that led me to a page about splash photography. I have always loved this type of photography and just kind of assumed that you need some special equipment to make it happen. Well the video I found made it look and sound rather easy! So as soon as Max went down for a nap, instead of showering, or you know...doing dishes and silly things like that, I decided to give it a try. Keep in mind that this was not an ideal set up and it took about an hour of work to get just a few good images, but I love learning and trying new things because it will only make you better...plus, I'm a huge photo nerd and it was fun! I'm just happy that I managed to keep my gear from getting wet! Enjoy!

Now the trippy background colors on these next two are thanks to my favorite Shoot Sac cover! :)
